Reports your TSO will accept and your auditor can verify.
IEC 61400-26 aligned availability, lost-production categorisation, and grid-code event capture — reproducible from raw SCADA, no manual reconciliation.
The challenge
Availability and lost-production numbers go into PPAs, warranty claims, monthly TSO reports, and quarterly board packs. Each consumer wants the number computed slightly differently. Today that’s reconciled with spreadsheets, and every refresh introduces drift between what the OEM reports, what the asset manager reports, and what the regulator sees.
Meanwhile grid-code events (FRT, voltage ride-through, frequency excursions) need to be captured at sub-second resolution and held for years — and most CMS platforms weren’t designed for that retention.
What success looks like
How WindTwin delivers it
- IEC 61400-26 categorisation — TBA, TBE, TPF, and the rest mapped from your SCADA state machine, configurable per OEM model.
- Lost-production accounting — every unavailable period is categorised, with reason code, duration, and lost MWh estimate.
- Sub-second event capture for grid-code events — FRT, voltage and frequency excursions, with raw waveform retention where the SCADA supports it.
- Reproducible reports — every report carries the query, the version of the rules, and the version of the data it was generated from.
- Audit-grade history — full time-series retention; no silent down-sampling.
- API + scheduled exports — TSO-formatted CSVs, OEM templates, custom Excel packs all land in the right inbox on the right day.
Where this lands first
- End-of-quarter reporting cycles — replace the spreadsheet reconciliation with a single source.
- Warranty disputes — when the OEM and the operator disagree, both can re-derive the number from the same raw data.
- Grid code reviews — fast access to a specific event’s sub-second waveform.
What you need to start
- SCADA state-machine mapping for each turbine model (we have starter templates for the common ones).
- The PPA / warranty definitions you have to report against.
- The TSO templates and submission cadence.
